STEERING COLUMN RESTORATION

SERVICES

SHOW quality craftmanship

Having restored many C3 Corvettes to a high level, with clients including Corvette Mike, Jim Mattison(started Pontiac Historical Society), St Louis Car Museum, and others, I am semi-retired now and am focusing on GM steering columns, primarily Corvette C3.

What I noticed in the online community was a focus on “rebuild”, which is fine in itself. But for those that are restoring their cars to a high level, including judging, I did not see anyone offering this type of quality. So I researched the NCRS judging manuals and acquired the tools to be able to achieve this. And I thank all that have trusted me to do this restoration for them.

MY PROMISE

I never compromise quality for time and give my clients realistic schedules that accommodate their lives. Any work sent to me will be honestly evaluated and additional parts or repairs will be quoted at a reasonable cost. I cannot know what is needed until your column is completely disassembled.

About Me

MY NAME IS Greg

I grew up in a GM family in Wisconsin, with my father in management at a local AC Delco facility. Cars always fascinated me and in my younger years made many scale models of the cars I loved. I loved the C2 but was blown away when the 68 model came out.

As I grew up, my second car, a Nova, became a street-strip machine with me reading up on every modification and learning every step of the way. When I bought my first Corvette, a 71, it needed a lot of work and I researched everything carefully and a few years later was entering into local Corvette shows and taking home some awards. A friend saw my work, and I did a complete interior restoration on it prior to a large local Corvette show in San Diego. His car won “best interior” for the whole show!

I ended up buying Corvette projects, restoring them, and then putting them up for sale. I specialized in 1968 to 1972 Corvettes, including tripowers and LT1’s.

As my body no longer wanted to do the heavy work, I am now focusing on parts restoration, primarly the tilt telescoping steering columns. I am focused on being the best at this and at this time the work is 100% done by me to maintain the quality. I know that any production shop cannot offer this level of quality and be competitive. Thank you for supporting me!
